Ingredients:

  • 300g lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 400g canned diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 200g spaghetti
  • 400ml water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Meat Sauce:

  1. Place the lean ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic in a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave on high for 5-6 minutes, breaking up the meat with a fork halfway through, until the meat is browned and cooked through.

2. Add Tomatoes and Seasoning:

  1. Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, and dried basil.
  2. Microwave on medium-high for 5 minutes, stirring halfway through.

3. Cook the Spaghetti:

  1. Break the spaghetti in half and place it in a microwave-safe dish.
  2. Add 400ml of water and a pinch of salt.
  3. Microwave on high for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the spaghetti is al dente.

4. Combine and Serve:

  1. Drain the spaghetti and mix it into the meat sauce.
  2. Microwave on medium for an additional 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

5. Garnish and Serve:
